Music & Worship Ministry
The Music and Worship Ministry of Antioch Baptist Church currently consists of seven choirs and the following Fine Arts Ministries: Orchestra, Dance, Step Team, Sign Language, Drama and Puppet. Each choir is assigned to a specific Sunday at which they provide music for worship. Choirs participate in community engagements and musical outreach activities. Our Ministry purpose is threefold:
- glorify God
- edify the saints of God through song and
- evangelize about Jesus Christ.
The Music and Worship Ministry lifts up the name of Jesus Christ’ through singing, instrumental music, drama, dance and interpretive movement. We are committed to ‘presenting our bodies as living sacrifices’ (Romans 12:1)

The Praise and Worship Team
The Praise and Worship Team assists in preparing the hearts and minds of worshipers as we enter into corporate
worship. Praise and Worship consists of devotions to include scripture, prayer and praise songs to our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The PW team is under the direction is Tanya Easley
Gospel Choir
The Gospel Choir is composed of adult men and women. This choir performs a full range of music including hymns,
spirituals, anthems. and songs of praise of both traditional and contemporary gospel styles.
The Gospel Choir supports a myriad of church related and community outreach venues.
This choir is under the direction of Curtis Taylor.
Youth Choir and Youth Praise and Worship Team
The Youth Choir and Youth Praise and Worship Team are composed primarily of youth and children from ages
ten to eighteen. This Youth Choir performs a full range of traditional and contemporary gospel music as well as
hymns and songs of praise. The choir does periodically perform nontraditional music in the spirit of proclaiming
the "good news of Jesus Christ" and it's freshness and originality is welcomed by the Antioch congregation.
The Youth Praise and Worship Team leads the congregation in devotions to include scripture,
prayer and praise songs to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
This choir is under the direction of Ernest Massenberg.
Praising Saints Choir
The Praising Saints Choir is composed primarily of pre-school and elementary aged boys and girls.
The music performed by the choir is generally contemporary and written or adapted by the director to
suit this particular age group.
This choir is under the direction of Gwen King.
Male Chorus
The Male Chorus is composed of the Men of Antioch Baptist Church. The music performed by this
choir covers the full spectrum of religious music to include contemporary and traditional gospel,
hymns, spiritual and anthems.
This choir is under the direction of Ron Carter.
Voices of Inspiration
The Voices of Inspiration consists of young adults and primarily ministers through song with upbeat
contemporary gospel music.
This choir is under the direction of James Owens.
